Sometimes I'm nostalgic for a time that didn't exist. But that doesn't mean we can't still make the future better.
I picked up some overpriced (thanks AI Bubble) hard drives and am in the process of moving my plex server to them. At my current rate of expansion, I should probably be good for another 10 years. I'd like to think it's an interesting process, but mostly it consists of me watching progress bars.
Folding Ideas is a youtube channel I like. It's a media criticism channel, mostly. Except you probably know it because of Line Goes Up, the documentary about NFTs that kind of killed NFTs. He posted a new video this weekend called Why Was I Invited to Mr. Beast's Studio. It starts off with that relatively simple question, why was Dan Olson of Folding ideas invited to visit the studios of Mr. Beast's Beast Games season 2? but it's not content to stop there, or let it be a studio tour vlog. It becomes a dissection of Mr. Beast as a company, saying things that I've kind of thought about before but taking them to the inevitable conclusion. Plus its funny. I've watched maybe 3 Mr. Beast videos in my life and Nothing about them has made me the least bit interested in watching more.
That's all I've got in me today. Go outside. Pay attention to the weather. Here are some cats I know, the little grey one is Blue, the larger one is Ash. I get to visit them occasionally.
